ARAG Life und ARAG Health appoint new Management Board members

The Supervisory Boards of ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG and ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG have appointed two new members to the Management Board: Dr. Roland Schäfer and Renko Dirksen.

Dr. Roland Schäfer (45) will succeed Wolfgang Brunner (64), who is retiring after 33 years of service to the two companies, at the end of this year. Dr. Roland Schäfer will take over as Director of Product Development, Underwriting and Sales for ARAG Life and ARAG Health. Dr. Schäfer currently heads the Corporate Pension Department of ERGO Versicherungsgruppe AG and serves on the Management Boards of ERGO Pensionsfonds AG, ERGO Pensionskasse AG and Hamburg-Mannheimer Pensionskasse AG. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the International Group Program (IGP), a leading multinational insurance network for employee health and old-age benefits.

The Supervisory Boards have also appointed Renko Dirksen (35) to the Management Boards of both companies. Renko Dirksen will assume his duties effective 1 January 2013. In his new position he will be responsible for central management functions such as Risk Management, Controlling, Legal Affairs/Compliance and IT/Operations. He presently heads the Group Development Department of ARAG SE.

The new Management Board members will join the existing Management Board composed of Werner Nicoll (Finance) and Dr. Werenfried Wendler (Personnel).
