New Board Members for ARAG Kranken, ARAG Allgemeine and Interlloyd

The Supervisory Board Members of ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG (ARAG Health Insurance), ARAG Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG (ARAG Casualty and Property Insurance) and Interlloyd Versicherungs-AG have appointed three new members to the board of directors.

Dr. Felicitas Hoppe (44) and Dr. Jan Moritz Freyland (51) will join the Board of Management of ARAG Krankenversicherung. Dr. Felicitas Hoppe heads the newly formed board department Mathematics/Actuarial, Reinsurance, Risk Management and Actuarial function. She has led the main department Insurance Analytics & Product/Sales International at ARAG SE since 2020. Dr. Felicitas Hoppe will continue to perform this function in addition to her Board of Management mandate.

Dr. Jan Moritz Freyland takes over the Partner Sales department and thus leads the company’s broker sales and multiple agent sales – the main sales channel of the fast-growing ARAG Kranken. He has worked for the ARAG Group since 2007, initially as Head of the International Department. Since 2013, Dr. Jan Moritz Freyland has led the broker and multiple agent sales as Director Partner Sales of ARAG Group. He will continue to perform this task in addition to his activities on the Board of Management.

The two new Board members will complement the existing team of Dr. Roland Schäfer and Dr. Matthias Effinger. In the course of the new formation of the Management Board, Dr. Roland Schäfer was appointed Speaker of the Board of Management of ARAG Kranken. The personnel changes will take effect on April 2, 2023. Dr. Shiva Meyer will leave the Board of Management of ARAG Kranken on April 1, 2023, and then take up her mandate on the Board of Management of ARAG SE (see press release dated December 1, 2022).

At ARAG Allgemeine and Interlloyd, Katrin Unterberg (43) was appointed to the Board of Management of both companies. She will complement the existing Board team of Christian Vogée, Uwe Grünewald and Zouhair Haddou-Temsamani.

In future, Katrin Unterberg will be responsible for Claims, ARAG Service Center and Foreign Subsidiaries departments. She began her work at ARAG in 2010 and subsequently took over as Head of Group Development National and International. Katrin Unterberg has headed the Claims Service department of ARAG Allgemeine since 2021.

The Supervisory Board has also appointed Christian Vogée as Speaker of the Board of Management of ARAG Allgemeine and Interlloyd. Both personnel appointments will take effect on April 1, 2023.
