ARAG creates Hardship Fund for Non-Insured. Additional Legal Advice for all Affected and Relief Workers
The severe weather catastrophes in the west and southeast of Germany are beyond all dimensions. Very few of the customers affected will have taken out the necessary natural hazards insurance. ARAG is helping nonetheless and at the beginning of the week set up a Hardship Fund of 1 million euros for all affected customers. This fund will be used to support customers who are not adequately insured and are in particularly urgent need of assistance.
In addition, ARAG will pay customers who have taken out natural hazard insurance and are affected by corresponding losses emergency relief, depending on the expected amount of the loss. This allows customers to clarify initial issues, they don’t need to wait for a claim to be settled.
In addition, ARAG offers all affected customers and also all affected non-customers legal advice by telephone from the ARAG partner attorneys (phone +49 221 963 2599). The costs for this will of course be covered by ARAG. This service is also aimed at all flood relief workers - whether they are helping people on the ground on a professional/voluntary basis or on their own initiative.
„We know that our Hardship Fund cannot compensate for all losses. However, we want to live up to our responsibility as a committed family enterprise in this national tragedy and make an effective contribution“ says Dr. Renko Dirksen, Speaker of the Board of Management of ARAG SE.
